Catching up...

Hofbrau MunichWell, after getting temporarily stranded in Munich due to the volcanic ash cloud, and finally being able to spend some time getting back to work on the next CD over the past weekend, I decided it was time to start updating folks again after being silent the last few months (lacrosse season has totally distracted me).

Of all the places that I could have been stranded, Munich was one of the best places to be. I happened to be there during Fruhlingfest, which is the Spring equivalent of Oktoberfest. Smaller in scale, but no less interesting! There was also a flea market there with people from all over Europe "selling their rubbish", as one local put it, but I found a couple of really cool antique Soviet hats that are just too cool. I had to ship them from Germany, so hopefully they arrive soon.

My friends in Munich showed me a great time while I was there, keeping me occupied as much as possible; coffee in sidewalk cafes, celebrating Bayern Munich's soccer victory over Lyon, dining on exquisite Bavarian food, etc. I also took part of the weekend to walk all over the place seeing lots of historic buildings that I've only seen in pictures from the post-WWII era. It's quite amazing. I've been to Munich before but it is amazing every time.

I realize that it's been a while since anyone has heard anything new from me, musically. I have posted a new song on Facebook and MySpace called Bittersweet. I wrote this song last year and it will be on the next CD.  I hope you enjoy it!

I'm also returning to the stage in mid-May at Ragamuffin Music in Roswell, GA for a musical variety show of sorts.  I'll send out another note when more details are available.

Cheers!

Kevin
